For the first time in about a month, there is not a cold wind blowing through Rostock. The temperature started going up late last night, as announced by the sound our chunks of ice and snow falling 24 stories off the of our building onto the street below.
The temperature of course can't get much above freezing with all this ice all over everything. Looks like a frigorific new year.

In Wiki's definition of frigorific, shouldn't the term "chemicals" in the first line be changed to "substances"? The first example given of a frigorific mixture is water in liquid and frozen form. Unless I misunderstand the meaning of "chemical," I think they are the same chemical, therefore it would be wrong to define frigorific mixture as being a mixture of "two or more chemicals." Change that to "two or more substances," and you've got yourself the generic terminology needed. Eh?
